Let's start at the very beginning. You can't shoot video unless you have equipment. Choosing the right gear is important because it will truly dictate the final outcome. I'll share with you all of the gear that I use to capture gorgeous images that help translate emotion to the screen.
Just like photography, your gear is what will make your job easier or it will make your job harder. I've developed an equipment list that streamlines my workflow. From camera, to microphones, to editing softwares, this module will cover all of your questions about what to use.

What good is your gear if you don't know how to use it? Filmmaking is very different than photography. They share the same roots, but they're used in different ways. This module will cover the use of shutter speed, frame rate, aperture & ISO, along with camera movements, picture profiles and shooting for the edit. This is a jam packed module that will take your video skills to the next level giving you the confidence you're looking for!

Now that you have all of your video shot, it's time to start editing. If you're a photographer, you might remember how long it took you to master Lightroom or Photoshop. Video editing software is a whole new beast.
With photography, the story is preserved the second you hit that shutter. It's frozen. Captured in time. With video, you have to actually cut together a story. Each shot is part of a larger narrative that will evoke emotion and tell the beginning, middle, and end of your movie.
Needless to say, editing is important. Story is often crafted in the edit. This module will cover editing software, how to edit, choosing music, mixing audio, color grading and exporting.

I'm including two live shooting and editing demos so you can see first hand how I do things. I'm a visual learner and I find it really beneficial when I can watch someone do what is being taught. It makes it click.
I'll show you how I shoot a vlog and a promo video for Instagram. I'll also show you the process of editing each explaining what I'm doing each step of the way.
The creative process is going to be different for everyone. I'm so excited to show you how I create videos. Hopefully this sparks some inspiration in you to get out there and create some beautiful content!
